// RULES · VERSION 2026-10

Server rules

Play fair, respect everyone, have fun. The same rules apply in game, on the website and on Discord.

These rules apply on the game server, the website, and our Discord. Staff may act on behaviour that clearly harms the community even if it is not listed. Not knowing the rules is not an excuse.

1. Fair play

  1. No cheats or hacks: aimbots, wallhacks/ESP, triggerbots, speed hacks, no-recoil/no-spread, anti-flash, modified game files or models that give an advantage, and scripts that aim or move for you. Normal binds and configs are fine; the built-in auto bunny hop of a class is a game feature.
  2. No exploiting bugs (getting outside the map, duplicating items or honor, abusing a broken ability). Report bugs to staff; useful reports can be rewarded.
  3. No farming or boosting: trading kills with friends or alt accounts, AFK or bot farming, using several accounts to earn rewards (including earnable VIP), or deliberately feeding an opponent.
  4. No ban evasion with another nick, account or IP. The new identity is banned too and the original ban may be extended.
  5. Staff may ask you to record a demo on the server (record <name>) and send it to them. Refusing, or leaving to avoid a check, may be treated as an admission.

2. Behaviour

  1. Respect everyone. No insults, harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination (race, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability), in chat, voice, nicks, tags or clan names.
  2. No spam (chat, voice, radio, sounds) and no advertising of other servers, sites or sales.
  3. No impersonation of staff, YIA or other players. Nicks and tags may not imitate staff tags such as [Owner], [Admin], [Mod] or [Helper].
  4. No sharing private data of others (doxxing) and no illegal or sexual content.
  5. Team play: no team-killing or team-flashing on purpose, no blocking teammates, no griefing, no ghosting (giving information from spectator).
  6. Trading and the market: items and honor may only be traded in game. Selling or buying accounts, items or honor for real money or outside the game is forbidden.
  7. Use the game language channels kindly; staff may ask you to switch to English in public chat.

3. Sanctions

Staff choose a proportionate measure. A typical ladder:

Level Measure
1 Warning (too many warnings in one map = automatic kick)
2 Mute / gag (5 min to map end)
3 Kick
4 Temporary ban (30 min to 30 days)
5 Permanent ban

Cheating, ban evasion, payment fraud, doxxing and serious hate speech can lead straight to a permanent ban. Bans can apply to the SteamID, nick/account, IP address and linked website account. A ban also blocks store purchases. Items used before a rule-based ban are not refunded.

Players can start a vote kick (/votekick) or report a player (/report). A passed vote kick does not kick by itself: staff review it (/cases). Abusing reports or votes is itself a rule break.

4. Ban appeals

  • Appeal within 30 days of the ban at support@yia.network.
  • Include: your nick, SteamID (if Steam), date and time, the reason shown, and your side of the story. Demos and screenshots help.
  • An appeal is reviewed by a different staff member from the one who banned you, at least Admin level. Cheating appeals are decided by an Admin or the Owner after a demo review.
  • We aim to answer within 7 days. The decision can confirm, shorten or lift the ban. One appeal per ban; a second appeal is only considered with new evidence. The Owner's decision is final within our community.
  • Be honest and polite. Lying in an appeal or insulting staff ends the appeal.

5. Staff conduct

Staff roles are Owner, Admin, Moderator and Helper. Staff powers are never sold. Every staff member must:

  1. Apply the rules equally, including to friends, clan mates and paying players. Paying does not protect anyone from sanctions.
  2. Use the smallest measure that works, give the reason, and never punish in revenge or for criticism.
  3. Not abuse powers: no slapping, slaying, teleporting or moving players for fun, no giving items, honor, EXP, levels or class access to themselves or friends, no changing settings to win, and no using spectator information to help a team.
  4. Not act in their own case (when they are reported or involved, another staff member decides).
  5. Keep player data and reports confidential; never ask anyone for passwords.
  6. Use two-factor authentication on staff website accounts.

All staff actions are logged and announced in game. The Owner reviews logs; misuse leads to demotion or removal. Complaints about staff go to support@yia.network and are handled by a higher role or the Owner.

6. Changes

We may update these rules; changes are announced on the website and Discord. The current version is always at yia.network/rules.

FAQ

How do I join the server?
Click "Play now" (Steam opens Counter-Strike 1.6 and connects), or open the game console and type connect play.yia.network:27015. Non-Steam clients are welcome too.
How do I link my game identity to my website account?
Log in on the website (Steam or email), then type /link in game. You get a 6-digit code that is valid for 10 minutes; enter it on the Link page. Steam players who log in with Steam are linked automatically.
I play without Steam. Can I still link?
Yes. Register your nick in game with /account and log in, then use /link. Without that in-game account nobody can prove the nick is yours, so the code is only shown after you log in.
How are purchases delivered?
Everything is delivered in game to the identity you choose at checkout, usually within a minute while you are online, otherwise on your next join. Your account page shows every active pass and when it expires.
Does VIP make me stronger?
VIP unlocks extra classes and comfort features, and its classes follow the same balance budget as the free ones. Skill still wins fights; staff powers are never sold.
Can I get VIP for free?
Watch our events and Discord: some seasons reward active playtime and event wins with free VIP days. Farming or using several accounts to earn them is against the rules.
What happens when a season ends?
Leaderboards are archived and a new season starts. Season-bound items expire at the season end; founder badges from the first 90 days of Season 1 stay on your profile forever.
Can I get a refund?
Items are delivered immediately, so the 14-day withdrawal right ends once delivery starts (you confirm this at checkout). We still refund items that were not delivered, unused items, double charges and rejected chat tags; see the refund policy or contact support.
I was banned. What can I do?
Appeal within 30 days with your nick, SteamID (if Steam), the date and your side of the story. A different staff member reviews it. See section 4 of the rules above.
How do I hide my profile?
Open your account page and switch "Public profile" off. Your scores stay on the leaderboards, but your profile page, passes and achievements are hidden from others.
